WILLIE --his true story, the fifth child of a God fearing, artistic mother and a restless, horse-trading medicine man. Willie’s mother died when he was six years old, then he went to live at “Grandmaws” farm. He attended a one-room school, where he first started writing poetry and songs. Those childhood years on “Maw’s” farm in the time of the great depression left indelible memories in young Willie’s mind. The big gangster car-theft conspiracy that came close to home. The story of a boy and his dog Pal the wonder dog. The time he encountered the nude lovers back at the creek.

Then “Maw” died when he was only ten and life for Willie took some strange twists and turns even before he left home and was out making a living at just 14 years old.

Working as bellhop and desk clerk in a family owned hotel, he learned about girls, homosexuals, drunks, dope addicts and big time politicians including a chat with the Prime Minister.

After a time in the army at the end of world war 11, he married a sweetheart, a beautiful girl with long blond hair, and big blue-eyes, Irene was just 17 years old.

Following the footsteps of his rambling daddy, Willie tells of a time on the road selling HOMEMADE medicine, cooked on the kitchen stove.

His times among the Mennonite and Amish selling medicine and buggy horses.

He tells of winning a big horse race with a $200.00 horse,

The Hollywood MOVIE STARS he got to know, of his part in one of their movies.

The many exciting years he spent as a HORSE-RACE ANNOUNCER at the tracks, on TV and radio.

Willie tells of the sound of GUNSHOT that killed an innocent girl, his talks with the HANGMAN (official executioner) that put the murderer to death.

Willie tells of his children becoming TV and RECORDING ARTISTS under his management.

After his children taught him to play guitar, Willie again took up the art of SONGWRITING and recording, having them published in NASHVILLE. There was the million -dollar song stolen from him in Music City and recorded by some of Nashville’s biggest stars.

There was the divorce from the mother of his children and the death of his beloved son. Before Billy died he had recorded his fifth album and sang his own songs in a movie.
